Silly Selfies

More Than Words is a new challenge blog - And here is their challenge for January - what a lovely theme to introduce themselves and their DT:

I have tried to take selfies - but I just don't seem to get it right. Ask my daughter and she has a whole rule of how this is done - put your head this way, and your eyes like this, and your chin like this ... no matter what I do, I just don't seem to get it right. My daughter takes beautiful selfies. I asked her one night to show me again how it's done and she gets hold of my phone and says "like this Mum" - and the result this silly selfie ..... I just love this photo of her. Here is a layout I did towards the end of last year with the Cocoa Vanilla range of my daughter and her silly selfie - quite appropriate for this months challenge at More Than Words;

This layout was an inspiration set from an idea that I saw of a colleague who used the circles and stitching, and I added in flowers and some inking. Just love these colours from this range.

hey GOOD looking

It's been a while since I was last on my blog, as not much happened in my scrappy world over Christmas - I guess they don't call it the silly season for nothing. Then I lost my mojo for a while too. But I think I am back and nothing like taking part in monthly challenges to get that creativity going again. So up first the challenge over at  D-LISH Scraps this very inspiring mood board:

These awesome colours inspired my take on the challenge. This is my lovely nephew - when he was much younger. Such a lovely boy and I so love this photo of him. I distressed white card stock and place this on red cardstock. Then with blue gelato and some texture paste stenciled in the clocks. Inked over these and dripped on some Lindy's stamp gang red ink. The chipboard has been painted in white and then dabbed on some blue ink.

Thanks for popping over!!
